About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer specializing in Azure and Databricks to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable data platforms and solutions in the Azure cloud environment.
* Design and implement data platforms using Azure services and Databricks.
* Manage and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
* Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance and reliability issues.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data engineering and analytics needs.
* Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across platforms.
* Stay current with Azure and Databricks updates, best practices, and industry trends.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role with a focus on Azure and Databricks.
* Strong understanding of Azure services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory.
* Experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake and Apache Spark.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
* Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect or Developer) is a plus.
* Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
