**About the role**
In this role, you will ensure quality service delivery in the overall planning, performance, and financial management of IT operational services.

Key responsibilities include:

- Engaging across a diverse range of stakeholders to respond to service needs and focus on ways to address changing requirements.
- Managing all aspects of the IT Operations strategy, business planning, and service delivery.
- Defining, developing and managing a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management (ITSM) landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets, including delivery of a comprehensive IT asset management capability.
- Ensuring the availability, security, and integrity of the organisations IT assets, services, and systems and the quality delivery of support across Level 1, 2 and 3 processes.
- Developing and controlling the annual budget to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the organisation, and is within plan adopting a culture of continuous cost optimisation.
- Working with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritise resources, including budget & resources and works with key stakeholders to measure and prioritise technical debt remediation.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.

Essential Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other relevant discipline.
- Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in related IT fields (Infrastructure, Applications, Operations, IT Service Delivery).
- Three (3) or more years of leadership experience including management, budgeting, and people leadership.
- Effective influencing and negotiation skills in complex environments where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, planning, and execution skills.
- Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the IT enterprise.
- Delivery of hybrid working excellence to improve customer and user experiences.
- Developing staff including coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Creating self-service mechanisms to streamline provisioning and ongoing management.
- Budget planning and financial management.
- Deep understanding of current and emerging I&O; technologies and practices.
