TQA Consulting is seeking a Front End Dev UI Designer for a 12-month full-time contract in Canberra. Candidates must be based in Canberra or willing to relocate and have lived in Australia for the past 5 years.

About The Role
You will work on the successful management and delivery of high-value, highly complex business systems projects. The Front End Dev UI Designer will be responsible for driving a human-centric approach to service delivery, focusing on understanding customer, business, and technology needs and balancing these to deliver effective digital services.
This role requires working across both disciplines to deliver intuitive, fit-for-purpose interfaces through a lean design process that involves rapid prototyping, testing, and solution implementation.
Essential Skills and Experience
* More than 3 years of experience in graphical design and technical implementation, creating functional, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces
* Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
* Experience implementing responsive UI components for web applications and websites using HTML/CSS, ReactJS and/or Angular. Experience using prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Axure or Figma is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of user experience design principles, accessibility (WCAG) 2.1, level AA as a minimum.
* Experience with Git/GitHub for collaborative development.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders, and clearly articulate design decisions through a well-conceived rationale
* Demonstrated experience in working with others to translate findings from usability testing into actionable improvements to a user interface
* Demonstrated experience designing wireframes, user interfaces, and interactive prototypes with a close attention to detail and ability to rapidly prototype, test, and iterate designs
* Tertiary Qualifications in a design or computer science/ICT related discipline (Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web development, etc.)
