Job Description
Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Delivery Manager – Track & Structures to lead a high-performing team responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP) inspections, corrective maintenance and the annual works program.
This leadership role oversees maintenance service providers and internal technicians to ensure world-class delivery, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of safety, accountability, and innovation across all Track & Structures activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor performance of maintenance service providers to meet contractual obligations.
* Drive improvements in TMP compliance, work quality, efficiency, safety and Ellipse usage.
* Manage internal maintenance teams to ensure effective, safe and efficient work delivery.
* Establish and strengthen incident response capability.
* Ensure correct tools, equipment, certifications and resources are maintained and available.
* Monitor work quality, implementing corrective actions where required.
* Conduct safety and technical investigations; perform risk assessments.
* Foster a culture of accountability, readiness for change and values-driven behaviour.
* Manage rosters, attendance and workforce resource allocation.
* Develop systems to ensure adherence to the Technical Maintenance Plan and Annual Works Plan.
* Support planning of access, resources, scope, cost and schedule for annual works.
* Prepare safety, quality and technical plans, supported by site and desktop audits.
* Monitor budget and performance, implementing corrective strategies where necessary.
* Review SWMS and safety plans to ensure best practice.
* Ensure all people on-site participate in pre-start meetings and review SWMS.
About You

You are an experienced leader with a strong background in Track, Civil or Structures maintenance, known for your commitment to safety, collaboration and continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced operational environments and can motivate teams to achieve excellence.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in a relevant field.
* Current and valid Driver's Licence.
Experience
* Minimum 3-5 years' rail or related industry experience in Track, Civil and/or Structures.
* Proven experience managing maintenance service providers.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices.
* Demonstrated success leading technical or maintenance teams in a high-performance environment.
* Experience delivering KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
