**The Role**:
As the
**Core Network Engineering Manager, **you will be managing all aspects of the Brennan Core Network Workplace. This includes the design and development of the Core Network, Data Centre strategy and planning.
You will also be responsible for employee engagement and developing a highly productive team that is focused on providing outstanding Customer Experience.
**Key responsibiltiies include**:
- Development of Engineering standards and practices for the Core network infrastructure.
- Handling of the introduction of new and end of life Core technologies to ensure life cycle mgmt. of BVD Products and Solutions.
- Define and support the Core technology roadmap with Product Engineering including the Data Centre to support the whole of business requirement for Brennan across all Practices.
- Provide Level 3 Engineering support for escalations of major Incidents.
- Leading independent Engineering and Infrastructure Teams, developing and maintaining operations to ensure all business KPI's are met.
- Ensure the Data Centre leads on Sustainability certification and standards including NABERS, ISO14001 and ISO50001 amongst others.
- Ensure Data Centres achieve their agreed availability targets as aligned to UIT standards
- Reviews service breakdowns by doing a thorough root cause analysis and implements process improvement opportunities.
- Manage direct, develop and motivate direct reports to lead to high employee engagement and enablement.
**Key Skills and Qualifications required**:
- Ideally 10 to 15 years' experience in an Enterprise IT environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a management position.
- Ability to address and manage escalated issues of a technical nature.
- Experience in managing Data Centers.
- Prior experience with Core Network Design.
- Solid experience and knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) Technology.
- ITIL Service Management accreditation.
- IT Project Management Foundation level accreditation (PMBOK, PRINCE 2).
- Ability to work unsupervised, bring market insights, creative flair and a passion for results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
