Renew Projects is an award-winning renovation and property maintenance company dedicated to providing top-quality residential improvement services to our clients. We service a diverse range of properties, in range of residential and commercial properties across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, and Newcastle regions. As a social enterprise wholly owned by the registered charity Pacific Link Housing, we embrace a profit-for-purpose model. In line with our continued growth, we are seeking a Carpenter to join the team.
What you'll be doing
* Perform first-fix carpentry, including framing of walls, floors, and roofs, setting out, sub-flooring, and structural alterations in existing buildings.
* Read, interpret, and accurately execute work based on construction drawings, architectural plans, and specifications.
* Execute second-fix and detailed finishing carpentry, including the installation of doors, windows, trim, skirting, architraves, and cabinetry/joinery.
* Complete detailed fit-outs for kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces.
* Undertake repair and restoration work on existing timber structures and elements.
* Assisting with basic maintenance tasks as required.
* Working with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery
* Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
* Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work completed
What we're looking for
* Full Carpentry License.
* Builders License or willingness to obtain will be highly regarded.
* Minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience, with significant exposure to residential and/or commercial renovations.
* Ownership of a comprehensive set of carpentry hand and power tools.
* Good understanding of health and safety practices.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
* Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
* Construction white card, unrestricted driver's license and valid working rights are essential
