Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. Job Summary
As Integration Manager you will report to the Completions and Assurance Manager and will be responsible for technical oversight of activities related to integration of all systems within the scope allocated including existing operational systems as required. You will engage with all relevant stakeholders from design through construction and testing and commissioning to ensure all project elements come together as a fully integrated system. The position is responsible for acting independently on integration matters pertaining to the project.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and manage processes and procedures for effective management of integration of systems.
- Establish means and methods for integration between new and existing systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders including existing operations, contractors and third parties in all aspects relating to integration of assets.
- Establish and facilitate integration engagements such as meetings and workshops as necessary for effective system integration.
- Manage integration requirements so that they are identified and captured earlier and incorporated into project requirements and placed in the relevant contracts.
- Review contractor submissions.
- Participate in reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPS, Interdisciplinary Design reviews and reviews relevant to integration.
- Manage planning and preparation of project administrative and technical documents as required for completions.
- Develop and use reporting tools to monitor contractors integration deliverables.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Skilled in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Experience in design, construction and operation of systems in major projects.
- Experience in management of self-perform engineering for major design/build projects, engineering/procurement/construction (EPC) or Architectural/Engineering (A/E).
- Experience with engaging with multiple entities with respect to managing system integration.
- Strong experience of systems engineering on a large infrastructure project.
- Solid experience of Technical Risk Assessments on a large infrastructure project and assist in the management of the project Risk Register.
- Proficiency in the use of applicable computer programs including the Microsoft Office suite and Power BI.
