Offer description

School Financial Resourcing is seeking an AO4 Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary full-time basis until 30/06/2026, unless otherwise determined.

The position is part of the School Financial Resourcing team that administers approximately $15B funding to Queensland and Non-State Schools via:

* School Based Salaries and Recoveries budget (circa $9B)
* Grants, Appropriations and Allowances (circa $6B)

About the Role

This role is ideal for an individual who:

As a Finance Officer, you will take on responsibilities such as:

* Processing payments through the School Appropriation and Payment Application (SAPA) with a focus on data validation and document management.
* Supporting labour-related data management and analysis for school-based salaries.
* Assisting in processing applications for various allowances.
* Providing information and technical support to departmental clients, including schools and external organisations, regarding payment processes.
* Contributing to end-of-month processes and supporting the maintenance of financial models, including Parameters and the School Cost Library.

Highly desirable attributes include:

* Experience in payment preparation and processing, data validation, and reporting.
* Strong time-management and analytical skills with the ability to conceptualise data.
