The Role
This is a senior Linux/Oracle/Windows system administrator position working on new deployment projects, routine upgrade projects, and routine patching projects for mission critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Your mission is to:
* Apply all changes via AttuneOps automation, and never do work manually.
* Work with and apply standards consistently.
Client Service:
* Work very closely with clients and be generously helpful when they need assistance.
* You will have the time you need to deliver fantastic service to our customers.
Systems:
* Work with mission critical infrastructure running [RHEL Linux], [Windows Server], and [Oracle RDBMS].
* Integrate new nodes (Predominantly Linux, Obligatory Windows) into existing enterprise infrastructure.
* Use [Active Directory] and [LDAP] to complete domain joins and single sign on.
* Configure and manage client custom requirements, such as [endpoint protection] solutions (Checkpoint, CrowdStrike), [RHEL Satellite] integration, [https proxies], [fapolicyd], etc.
* Work with various enterprise infrastructure systems.
Technologies:
* Automate everything using [AttuneOps Automation Platform].
* Write [bash] and [PowerShell] scripts for infrastructure automation.
* Use [GitLab] for task management and version control.
* Create diagrams with [] and [plantuml].
* Use [macOS] for office work with efficient window management and keyboard/mouse workflows.
Documentation:
* Design and document all work you perform.
* Write comprehensive technical documentation in [markdown] for internal use and client delivery.
Projects:
* Work on new deployment projects integrating new nodes into client infrastructure.
* Configure [LDAP] and [Active Directory] integration including single sign on and domain join.
* Document, and work with clients to obtain [firewall rules].
Upgrades:
* Execute routine upgrade projects for [Oracle RDBMS] and enterprise systems.
* Perform [Oracle] database administration tasks.
* Script and automate upgrade procedures.
Patching:
* Execute routine patching projects using automation.

Compensation
* This is a permanent full time position.
* The wage range is $120k to $145k excluding Synerty's mandatory superannuation contribution.
* Overtime is paid at rate of 1.5x. Task tracking records actual hours worked for accurate overtime compensation
* Your monthly internet and mobile phone bill will be reimbursed.

How to Apply
You must be Australian based and you must have full working rights to be successful for this position.
You will be required to obtain police checks every 18 months at Synerty's cost.
Your time is valuable, and we will work to ensure your time at Synerty is highly productive.
This position has an Australian standard of about 10 public holidays, 20 work days annual leave, and 10 work days health leave, leaving at least 220 full 8 hour work days for a full time position. If you're not able to meet this full time requirement, please don't apply for this job.
