The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Fixed Process Plant Operators to join our team in Bunbury at our lube oil refinery. In your role as a Process Plant Operator, you will hold a vital position in our operations where your primary responsibility is to ensure an efficient and safe plant operation of our lube oil refinery.
These positions are on a Day/Night shift roster of 4 Days on, 4 Days off, 4 Nights on, 4 Days off.
These positions are not a FIFO role and offer a great work & home life balance.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Plant operations including monitoring for stable production, troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
* Work closely with shift leaders to manage day-to-day operations and help develop a robust, multi-skilled team through mentoring and training.
* Assist in shutdown maintenance
* Loading and unloading of trucks, tankers and trailers
* Water chemical treatment
* Tank farm management
* Troubleshooting and rectification works within the plant operations
* Adhere to safety protocols, identify hazards, and participate in safety initiatives
* Plant shutdown (minor and major), and plant start-up in a safe manner
Who are we looking for?
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in Process Plant Operations.
* Experience in Shutdown (Minor/Major) planning, execution and close out is an asset
* Knowledge of control systems (DCS/HMI/PLC & SCADA systems)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Able to be reliable and flexible in working a rotating shift roster that will include shutdown works
* Experience in equipment isolation, permit to work and job hazard analysis
* Strong leadership capability and experience in leading a team (desirable)
