The Role
Under the supervision of our operations Manager and reporting to the project Manager, you will be in charge of coordinating and managing the works associated with the deployment of our solutions on a major civil infrastructure project in Melbourne.
* The preparation, installation and commissioning of our instruments to the best level of quality required for a successful monitoring scheme at site locations.
* Site work will involve installing instrumentation such as piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, strain gauges and load cells, among others in accordance with construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
* Installing, building, programming and commissioning data loggers and telemetry devices, enclosures, mounts and brackets.
* Installation of Structural, Ground, and Environmental Monitoring Systems.
* The testing, assembling, preparing and packing instruments ready for projects; preparing project documentation and maintaining records; assisting with general maintenance and upkeep of equipment, plant and the facilities in the office/workshop and at site.
* Enforcing high H&S and Quality standard on our operations.
The Profile
* Trade or Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Science, Mining, or Construction Background (i.e. Civil Engineering / Environmental / Physical Geography / Geology / Electrical / Instrumentation)
* You have a minimum of 2-3 years of direct experience working on major civil infrastructure projects: tunnels, structures, etc., with a passion for digital products and services.
* Experience using power tools and hands on installations.
* Good computer literacy – word, excel and outlook (Office 365).
* Flexible with regards to roles and working hours and willingness to travel
* You are curious, thorough, and self-driven with a keen ear for your clients' needs and pain-points to which you try to find the best solutions.
* You are capable of working autonomously but are also a team player and feel comfortable in an international and multi-cultural environment.
* Have valid working rights in Australia, driving license etc.
