Water Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Water Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the state's water and wastewater assets, ensuring a safe and reliable supply of drinking water for communities across Western Australia.

Your main task is to find and fix faults on pipes and joints, upgrade systems, and understand the end-to-end water cycle. You will work outdoors, digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing broken water services while building a collection of skills that can set you on your way to a technical or leadership role in the future.

No prior experience? No problem! We provide full on-the-job training, buddying you up with an experienced team member to ensure you feel supported from day one.

A positive attitude towards safety is essential in this role, as we prioritize a safe workplace with a strong safety culture for all employees. You will also need a WA C class driver's licence as a minimum – HR class licence is beneficial.


Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and repair water and wastewater assets to ensure a safe and reliable supply of drinking water
* Find and fix faults on pipes and joints, upgrade systems, and understand the end-to-end water cycle
* Work outdoors, digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing broken water services
* Build a collection of skills that can set you on your way to a technical or leadership role in the future


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* No prior experience required – we provide full on-the-job training
* Positive attitude towards safety
* WA C class driver's licence (HR class licence beneficial)
