We are seeking a motivated and organised Administration Officer to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment, providing exceptional administrative support, and being a key point of contact for clients and team members.
About the Role
As an Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy accounting practice. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, assist with a range of administrative tasks, and help ensure the office runs efficiently and professionally.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and client enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
* Greet clients and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
* Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, diary management, and coordinating with both team members and clients.
* Maintain and update client records and databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
* Assist with ATO lodgements, tax return processing, ATO payment plans, and assisting with lodgement deadlines.
* Manage incoming ATO correspondence and mail, ensuring matters are actioned promptly.
* Support the onboarding of new clients.
* Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities to maintain an efficient and organised workplace.
* Oversee office presentation and cleanliness, helping to maintain a professional environment.
* Provide administrative support to the accounting team and assist with workflow management to help meet key deadlines.
* Utilise technology confidently and assist with general IT-related administrative tasks.
* Collaborate with team members across the business to support a variety of administrative and operational functions.
* Take a proactive approach to learning, supporting the business, and assisting with ad hoc duties as required in a growing small-business environment.
About You

Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative, reception, or office support role.
* Experience in an accounting or professional services environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Professional presentation and customer service skills.
* Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
