Do you love country living, cooking, and baking? Are you excited by the idea of living and working on a cattle station in a remote, picturesque location? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you
About the Job
We're looking for a passionate and versatile Cook to join our close-knit team on a working cattle station in the Pilbara region of WA. You'll be an integral part of station life, keeping our team of around 20 people well nourished with hearty, healthy meals.
Our station family includes both the pastoral team, who care for the cattle, and the hospitality team, who care for the homestead and gardens. Just like any country home, the kitchen is the heart and soul of the property - and we're seeking someone to bring warmth, good food, and a sense of home to the team and our visitors.
What You'll Do
* Plan and prepare nutritious, hearty meals that fuel the team for the day.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
* Manage kitchen stores, rotate stock, and minimise waste.
* Incorporate fresh produce from the station butcher and gardens wherever possible.
* Foster a welcoming, friendly kitchen and dining environment.
* Assist with other station tasks when needed.
What's Included
* Private accommodation and meals provided.
* Return flight to and from the property.
* Fully air-conditioned working space and a well-equipped modern kitchen.
* Supportive team with a strong sense of community.
What You'll Bring
You're a confident cook with experience preparing meals for groups on a schedule, and someone who takes pride in creating tasty, wholesome food. You'll also bring:
* Great organisational and time management skills.
* Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs.
* A positive, friendly attitude and willingness to be part of station life.
* Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
* Current drivers licence (manual licence preferred)
* Willingness to live and work in a remote location for extended periods.
This role is more than just cooking – it's about being part of a team that works together, supports each other, and makes the station feel like home, and their fellow team members feel like family.
