HumeLink West Project
Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly increasing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. It is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365 km of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double‐circuit transmission lines spanning 130 km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa, the interface point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team based in our project office in Sydney.
What will a day in this role look like
* Provide the Finance Manager with financial assessments and information to ensure planning and budgeting activities meet contract goals.
* Accountable for ensuring the month‐end process is run efficiently and timely, complying with time schedules as per set deadlines.
* Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, margin results and the contract/project actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans controlling income, cash flow and expenditure.
* Ensure budgets and forecasts for all relevant projects within the portfolio are appropriately forecast and uploaded into SAP.
* Actively work with and manage the output of cost administrators to ensure quality and timely information is captured.
What are we looking for you to bring to the team
To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work with a dispersed business team, provide insightful information and implement solutions that guide proactive decision making that achieve the desired business outcome.
* Degree qualified in Commerce or Accounting.
* CPA/CA or equivalent is essential.
* Proven experience in similar construction roles.
* Experience with SAP is desirable.
* Advanced Excel skills.
