About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting tests, analysing samples and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Collecting, preparing and analysing water, soil and environmental samples using laboratory equipment.
* Conducting tests and ensuring accurate data recording.
* Maintaining laboratory equipment and assisting in calibration and maintenance.
* Ensuring quality assurance procedures and safety protocols are adhered to.
* Maintaining detailed records and preparing technical reports.
* Supporting the implementation of laboratory best practices and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
* Qualification in Laboratory Technology or related field.
* Experience in a laboratory environment preferably within local government or regulated sector.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
* Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and procedures.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
