The Business
This is a well-established FMCG brand with a strong market position and a loyal customer base built over many years. The business is in the middle of a meaningful transformation program, with a recent go‐live on Microsoft Dynamics 365 sitting at the centre of that change.
The planning function is at a pivotal point. The system is live but the processes around it are still being shaped. This role will play a key role in building scalable processes to drive a best in class operation.
The Role
This is an initial 3‐month contract with a genuine intention to transition into a permanent position for the right person. You will lead the supply chain planning function and take ownership of embedding D365 into day‐to‐day planning operations.
You'll be working closely with both the operational team and the broader transformation project, making sure the system delivers on what it was implemented to do. There's a real opportunity here to leave a lasting mark on how this business plans.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading demand and supply planning across the business, with full accountability for forecast accuracy and inventory performance
* Driving the optimisation of planning processes within the Dynamics 365 environment following a recent implementation
* Identifying gaps between how D365 has been configured and how the team is actually working, and closing them
* Building planning discipline and capability within the team, setting clear ways of working
* Collaborating with commercial, operations, and procurement teams to align the plan across the business
* Contributing to the broader transformation agenda with practical, grounded input from the planning function
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience leading a supply chain planning function, ideally within FMCG, consumer goods, or a similarly fast‐moving environment
* Hands‐on experience working within Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a strong understanding of how to get the most out of the platform in a planning context
* A track record of improving planning processes, not just managing them
* Strong leadership presence with the ability to bring a team through change
* Someone comfortable stepping into an environment that is still evolving and helping to bring structure to it
* Available to start at short notice, or within a standard notice period
