GBM Resources (ASX:GBZ) is an Australian gold explorer with a pipeline of high-potential epithermal and intrusion-related gold systems in the world-class Drummond Basin, Central Queensland. Following recent drilling success and new tenement grants, we are expanding our field team and seeking a talented geologist to drive target generation and discovery.
The Role
Full-time, permanent position
FIFO from Brisbane (negotiable) on a 20 days on / 10 days off roster
Site-based role
Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
Lead surface exploration programs: geological mapping, soil/stream/Belg sampling, rock-chip sampling, and costeaning
Supervise and log RC and diamond drill holes targeting epithermal gold–silver systems
Integrate geophysical (IP, gravity, magnetics) and hyperspectral datasets with geological models
Generate and rank new drill targets using QGIS and Micromine
Mentor junior geologists and manage field technicians
Ensure compliance with Queensland safety and environmental regulations
Essential Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Geology (Honours preferred)
Minimum 5 years post-graduate exploration experience, with at least 3 years focused on epithermal gold systems
Proven track record of target generation that has led to drilling
Current Australian manual driver's licence and right to work in Australia
Senior First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Strong fitness level for remote field work in hot conditions
Desirable Skills
Experience with low-sulphidation epithermal pathfinder geochemistry (As–Sb–Hg–Tl)
Competency in Access, QGIS and Micromine
