Eligibility to practice as a Designated Mental Health Practitioner under the NT Mental Health and Related Services Act (1998) is required to fulfil the requirements of the role.Key duties and responsibilities: Nurse Level 31. Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing/midwifery care to achieve identified individual/group health outcomes.2. Provide leadership and care coordination across a shift and act as a resource to other members of staff within a designated portfolio e.g. education, NSQHS Standard.3. Accountable for the planning, provision, and communication of nursing/midwifery care, including the evaluation and required revision of practice.4. Demonstrated well-developed knowledge, skills and experience in the relevant area of nursing/midwifery with depth in some areas and a broad range of skills.3. Demonstrated ability to act as a clinical resource person and role model, including mentoring and preceptoring less experienced staff and students.4. Demonstrated contribution to the development and implementation of local activities beyond direct client care e.g. clinical education, assist in management, research/quality assurance activities.5. Demonstrated effective communication skills to achieve positive outcomes, including maintaining productive multi-disciplinary working relationships, effectively dealing with challenging behaviours, and resolving conflicts.6.
