Warehouse Manager – Distribution Centre | Inventory, Forklift & Team Leadership

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a fast-paced distribution centre (DC) environment. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor while also managing people, systems, and priorities.

You will be responsible for supervising a warehouse team, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, and ensuring all operations run safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, supervise, and allocate tasks to a warehouse team of 6–8 staff to ensure daily operational targets are met
· Operate forklifts safely for container unloading, truck loading/unloading, and internal stock movements
· Manage inventory accuracy using Cin7, Excel, and WMS systems, including regular stocktakes and discrepancy resolution
· Oversee the unloading and loading of shipping containers, ensuring correct documentation and storage procedures
· Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, freight movements, and dispatch schedules
· Manage customer delivery windows and service-level expectations
· Use EDI (SPS), Microsoft Excel, Word, and email systems for reporting, communication, and documentation
· Ensure compliance with WHS, safety procedures, and company policies
· Work closely with senior management to plan and prioritise daily and weekly workloads
Skills & Experience
· Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, DC Manager, or Senior Warehouse Supervisor
· Background in fast-paced warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage warehouse staff
· Current forklift licence (essential)
· Experience with inventory management systems (Cin7 highly regarded)
· EDI experience, ideally SPS Commerce
· Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
· Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of delivery timelines
