Position Title: Lead Educator - Early Learning CentreEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentPosition OverviewThe Lead Educator plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality early childhood education within the ELC. This position involves leading a team of educators to implement developmentally appropriate programs that align with the school's philosophy and educational standards. The Lead Educator is responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of each child.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Implementation: Design and execute educational programs that reflect the Reggio Emilia philosophy, catering to the individual interests and developmental stages of children.Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of educators, promoting professional growth and ensuring cohesive delivery of educational programs.Child Development: Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and planning individualized learning experiences.Family Engagement: Build strong partnerships with families, communicating regularly about children's experiences and development.Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to the National Quality Framework (NQF) and maintain a safe, hygienic, and organized learning environment.Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional learning opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent qualification recognized by ACECQA.Minimum of 2 years' experience in an early childhood education setting.Demonstrated understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and its application in early learning environments.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Current Working With Children Check and Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect (RRHAN) training.Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting.Familiarity with the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
