About This Role
On behalf of our client, a tier 1 mining operator, we are recruiting for a Mine Surveyor for a short term assignment. The engagement will be for approximately 6 months and will be working a week on, week off roster.
Responsibilities
* Conduct accurate mine and engineering surveys to support safe and efficient operations
* Mark-up and set out drill patterns, blast designs, and mining infrastructure
* Maintain and update survey data, plans, and models using mine planning software
* Perform volume calculations, reconciliation, and progress reporting
* Ensure compliance with statutory survey requirements and site standards
* Provide survey support to mining, engineering, and geology teams
* Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration and accuracy
* Adhere to site safety systems and promote a strong safety culture
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Surveying or equivalent
* Previous experience as a Mine Surveyor in an open pit environment
* Strong working knowledge of survey equipment (GPS, total stations, drones - where applicable)
* Experience with mine planning and survey software (e.g. Deswik, Surpac, Vulcan or similar)
* Solid understanding of WA mining regulations and safety standards
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to commit to a 7/7 FIFO roster for the duration of the contract
