Physical Education Teacher and Sport Coordinator
We are seeking a passionate Physical Education Teacher and Sport Coordinator to lead our school's sporting culture.
About the Role
* Teach Physical Education across year levels using engaging, student-centred and evidence-based practice. Our ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
* Coordinate a growing school sporting program, including interschool competitions, representative pathways and co-curricular activities. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
* Design and champion programs that build teamwork, resilience, healthy lifestyle habits and strong school spirit. A key aspect of this role is fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes social-emotional growth in students.
* Lead the planning and smooth organisation of sports timetables, carnivals, fixtures and events. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, students and parents.
* Model professionalism, care and leadership in building a safe and supportive environment for all students. This includes maintaining high standards of behaviour, respect and empathy within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver engaging physical education programs for students of varying ages and abilities.
* Plan and coordinate school sporting events, including tournaments and carnivals.
* Foster partnerships with local sporting clubs and organisations to enhance opportunities for students.
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote a culture of physical activity and health within the school.
