Grays Legal NT is a very busy boutique legal practice in Darwin which is seeking an organised, client-focused Admin / Law Clerk / Paralegal to join our close-knit team.
You will be the front-desk and administration backbone of the firm, supporting lawyers across document preparation, client onboarding, correspondence, scheduling and records management.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and client liaison (in person, phone, email)
Preparing legal documents and court forms
Managing secure digital and physical file systems
Filing, archiving and retrieval of legal records
Email and document triage, tagging, filing and archiving
Archiving closed matters and maintaining structured records storage
Diary and appointment coordination for lawyers
Client onboarding and administrative support
Drafting correspondence (non-legal advice related) with accuracy and confidentiality
Maintaining office systems with data integrity and discretion
About You
Strong administrative experience of at least 3 years (preferred)
Law experience highly advantageous
Proven experience in legal records filing and archiving (advantage)
Excellent spoken and written English is a must
Excellent ability to file and archive with a structured, compliant and efficient approach
Computer savvy and confident working with multiple digital systems
High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
Self-motivated, reliable, professionally presented and client-focused
Skills & Attributes
Computer-savvy and comfortable learning new tasks quickly
Strong working knowledge of office technology, cloud storage, email filing and document archiving
