About Townsville Health Centre
Townsville Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Townsville, 6.5km outside Townsville. This facility supports more than 1000 regular personnel, as well as visiting Air Force exercise and international members. It is home to the Black Hawk and Chinook helicopters. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, and pharmaceutical services. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally Monday – Thursday (depending on role requirements), and a half day (5.5 hours) Friday.
What you'll do
* Work within the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy
* Intake assessment, risk assessment and crisis intervention
* Mental health screening
* Manage patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
What you bring
* Current member of the Australian Association Social Workers (AASW) as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
* Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule
