An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks team in South Western Sydney Local Health District. We are seeking a dedicated allied health Clinical Educator to join our team working 24 hours per week.
As an allied health Clinical Educator (Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist) you will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing health and developmental screening in early education settings and providing assessment, intervention and capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD.
This role is a truly unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children in the area. You will be a compassionate, understanding and adaptable person who is ready to become a leader. We are looking for someone who is truly passionate about their role and team whilst delivering a family centred service, in consultation with clients and carers/families.
You will be working with a small multidisciplinary team who are highly supportive of each other. You will have great communication skills and be ready to progress both your own career and skills but also empower your team. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and network within the wider healthcare team and the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks team.

We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable, flexible clinical educator with strong clinical skills as well as excellent organisation, communication and teamwork skills.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Must hold an accredited qualification in Occupational Therapy or Speech professional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (where required) or eligibility for membership with professional body (where applicable.Extensive post graduate clinical experience demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the provision of Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy services to paediatric clients with complex and diverse needs, preferably in a community setting.
* Demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, supervision and education to staff and students, including the application of adult learning principles, and in delivering consultation and education to colleagues and external stakeholders in adherence with evidence based practice (EBP) principles.
* Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable and/or at risk communities to provide client and family centred care, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with relevant services and organisations to support comprehensive case management and service delivery.
* Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery through quality improvement processes as well as excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external partnerships.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
