**After School Care Educator - South Tweed**
**Days: Tuesday and Thursday**
**Hours: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM**
**Care for: 9-year-old child**
**Hourly rate $40.00 per hour**
Northern Rivers In Home Care is seeking a warm, patient, and experienced Educator to provide nurturing, personalised after school care for a 9-year-old child in South Tweed, NSW. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's development in a home-based setting, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and happiness.
**Role and Responsibilities**
Provide attentive, respectful, and responsive care tailored to the child's interests and needs
Support the child's social, emotional, and physical development through engaging activities
Assist with homework, school projects, and creative play to encourage learning and curiosity
Promote healthy routines including snack time, outdoor play, rest, and personal hygiene
Communicate regularly with the family and support agency to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment conducive to the child's growth
Follow all child safety policies and procedures in line with National Child Safe Standards
**Essential Criteria**
**Applicants must meet all of the following**:
Certificate III in Children's Services (ACECQA-approved)
Minimum 2 years' experience working with infants/toddlers or school-aged children
Current First Aid & CPR certification (early childhood specific)
WWCC - Working with Children Check (NSW)
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
Public Liability Insurance (can be arranged post-placement)
Medical Clearance
Completed Child Protection Training (within the last 2 years)
ABN (this is a contractor/self-employed position)
Valid Photo ID
PRODA RA Number (support available if needed)
Aged 18 years or over
Strong commitment to child safety and child-safe practices
