This is an interview position.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate company vehicles and provide efficient delivery and pickup of packages, covering a minimum of 15 routes in a floating capacity without assigned regular routes.
2. Model leadership and professionalism by mentoring hourly employees, demonstrating strong communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills using Best Practices methods.
3. Promote continued sales and generate potential incremental revenue whenever possible.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Related Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of courier experience.
Adjustment Period: 6 months to learn or adapt to the role.
Special Notes: Incumbents do not have regular routes but provide coverage for open routes. DG specialist requirements depend on station size and location, with senior management rights to override these requirements.
Technical Skills:
* Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
* Ability to complete and maintain DG certification, including yearly recurrency training.
* Ability to gain and maintain FedEx DG Specialist certification.
* Good understanding of FedEx products, services, and operations.
* Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
* Knowledge of Federal Express operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset.
* In Quebec, bilingual (French and English) required.
Interpersonal Skills:
* Excellent human relations, customer service, and communication skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Customer Service & Leadership experience, with 1 year of delivery driver experience. 1 position available.
Pay and Work Details:
* Minimum 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with Saturday as needed.
* Wage: $25.20/hr.
