Job Description
The role of Production Superintendent involves leading safe, reliable and high-performance production at chemical manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day production for multiple plants to optimize reliability, performance and uptime.
* Lead plant operations, ensuring adherence to all HSE standards, regulations and company safety systems.
* Coach and develop Team Leaders and production personnel, building capability and strengthening operational discipline.
* Oversee production planning and scheduling, working with Supply Chain to meet targets.
* Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and opportunities for improvement.
* Drive continuous improvement in production processes and plant performance.
About You
* Commitment to a safe, inclusive and high-performance culture is essential.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Chemical, Mineral processing or Mechanical) are desirable.
* Experience in petrochemical or heavy industrial plants, including production management, is required.
* Proven expertise in chemical plant operations and safety management systems is necessary.
* Strong knowledge of legislative requirements, environmental management and risk analysis is also necessary.
