My client is looking for a Technical Lead to join their fast-growing platform business that's reshaping the financial advice journey for global financial institutions. You'll be the linchpin between clients and the engineering team — leading technical discussions, shaping requirements, overseeing configuration and integration, and mentoring a small high-performing technical team. This is a leadership-focused role where you’ll still be close enough to the tech to shape solutions hands-on, but your real strength will be driving outcomes through others, consulting with clients, and owning delivery. What you'll be doing: Lead client workshops to capture business and technical requirements, with a strong consultative approach. Architect and oversee robust solutions, ensuring integration across client ecosystems (focusing on inbound/outbound KPIs and API consumption). Oversee and manage technical sprints, configuration activities, and client platform releases. Guide a small technical team (2–3 members initially, expanding depending on client portfolios). Work closely with internal product and engineering teams to drive platform innovation and best practices. Be the senior escalation point for technical issues, ensuring rapid troubleshooting and communication. Provide executive-level reporting on technical services and platform health. Support ongoing enhancements of internal implementation methodologies, documentation, and tooling. What you'll bring: 10 years in client-facing technical roles, ideally with SaaS platform or FinTech experience. Strong consultative background — able to engage external clients, not just internal teams. Background as a Developer or Technical Consultant — understands APIs, API consumption, JSON, HTML, CSS, Python (not heavy coding, but configuration and troubleshooting). Experience delivering SaaS platforms using AWS technologies (Lambda, S3, etc.). Solid understanding of enterprise technology architecture and integration patterns. Hands-on experience configuring low-code platforms and troubleshooting across the full stack. Logical problem-solver who can think through complex platform issues and customer journeys. Confident leader who enjoys mentoring, coaching, and overseeing technical work — not just delivering personally. Prior experience in financial services or delivering to major FS clients highly regarded. Comfortable working across global teams and spanning time zones.
