**Our Journey**
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
The General Services department as Kingston Hospital requires a qualified Patient Services Assistant to join the team at Yarraman, a residential facility which specialises in Aged Care.
**Patient Services Assistant (Chestnut Gardens - Doveton)**
Wednesday and Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm
Friday and Sunday 7.00am - 3.30pm
- (64 Hours per fortnight)_
**A Day in the Life**
- Ward cleaning
- Serving meals and mid meals to patients
- Patient discharge assistance
- Transfer & cleaning of equipment
- Patient transfers with use of equipment; bed movers and wheelchairs.
- Assisting nursing staff as requested
- Potential for some in charge shifts

**What you Need**:
- Certificate III Health Services Assistant
- Food Handlers Certificate - Level 1
- NDIS check and worker screen
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
- Basic to intermediate digital literacy
