Electro-Optical Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Electro-Optical Specialist to join our team.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of advanced electro-optical systems, incorporating optics, imaging sensors, processing electronics, stabilisation mechanisms, and control algorithms.
* Collaborate with experts in the field to undertake technical design studies and integrate technologies for high-performance solutions.
* Define high-level system requirements and develop comprehensive subsystem specifications.
* Develop models and simulations to validate system performance under real-world conditions.
* Evaluate and assess technologies across optics, sensors, electronics, and mechanical subsystems, ensuring effective integration.
* Work closely with international suppliers to ensure robust and innovative system designs.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in optronic or electro-optical systems, including imaging payloads, stabilised gimbals, tracking systems, or optical sensors.
* Strong understanding of optical system principles, focal plane arrays (MWIR, SWIR, LWIR), sensor electronics, image processing, and real-time systems.
* Familiarity with relevant modelling and simulation tools.
* Proven capability to lead technical integration activities and manage interdisciplinary challenges.
