* About the role
Quick Fix Automotive in Ballina, NSW is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles to keep our customers' cars running safely and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnosing, servicing and repairing a variety of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and more
* Conducting routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations and safety inspections
* Using the latest diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve complex issues
* Maintaining detailed records of work performed and parts used
* Providing exceptional customer service and communicating technical information in easy-to-understand terms
* Adhering to all relevant safety standards and procedures
What we're looking for
* Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics or a relevant trade certificate
* Proven experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues efficiently
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's license
* Authorised Safety Check Inspection Scheme (ASCIS) examiner preferred or willingness to obtain
