Overview
Netball NSW is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a Board of Directors and managed by professional staff. As the peak state sporting body for netball in New South Wales, it is responsible for the governance, development, promotion and administration of the sport, and is affiliated with Netball Australia.
Netball NSW provides a comprehensive framework supporting approximately 119,000 registered members and more than 150,000 participants across all levels of the game. The sport's continued growth is driven by the wide range of programs, facilities and services offered, from grassroots participation to professional pathways.
Netball NSW has a strong history of elite performance, with over 300 athletes representing the state since 1997, including through the Suncorp Super Netball competition featuring the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball.
Suncorp Super Netball marked a new chapter in Australian netball when it launched in 2017, providing the platform for GIANTS Netball to enter the national competition alongside the NSW Swifts.
Both teams are owned and operated by Netball NSW, with GIANTS Netball formed through a strategic alliance with the GWS GIANTS AFL. The ownership of the two teams is a key strategic initiative for Netball NSW, creating greater opportunities for more than 119,000 registered members across the state. These opportunities include pathways to represent NSW and their clubs at the highest domestic level, as well as increased access for fans to watch the world's best netballers live.

Purpose of the position
The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for enhancing Netball NSW's profile through effective visual representation. Provide all Graphic Design/Branding services to Netball NSW including NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball, thus providing a professional and holistic brand and marketing style for the business and sport.
Key responsibilities
Graphic Design:
* Design and deliver a range of promotional collateral including social media assets, flyers, website assets, digital screens and invitations.
* Roll out campaign creative across multiple formats and sizes as required.
* Contribute to visual research, concept development and idea generation.
* Produce one-off graphics for digital, social and event-based campaigns.
* Assist with bespoke print production for events and liaise with external printers.
* Support presentation design, including PowerPoint creation, document editing and formatting.
* Develop Canva templates for internal Netball NSW use.
* Deliver out-of-home and signage assets for Ken Rosewall Arena.
Photography:
Support the management and uploading of imagery into the CANTO digital asset system.
General:
* Uphold and promote Netball NSW policies and values.
* Contribute positively as a collaborative member of the Netball NSW team.
* Undertake additional duties as required by senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrate strong communication, relationship management and problem-solving skills.
Selection criteria
Essential qualifications and experience
* Relevant graphic design experience (minimum 2 years). Please submit a portfolio with your application.
* Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communications or similar (applicants near completion of qualification also encouraged to apply).
* Confident using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
* Canva understanding to create templates not as main design program.
* Strong typographic and layout skills.
* Experience in fast-paced professional environments.
* Demonstrated experience working with a variety of clients, brands or stakeholders.
Knowledge and skills
* Video production and editing skills are highly desired not essential.
* Previous experience within the sporting industry would be advantageous.
* Able to multi-task to meet fast and high turnover deadlines.
* Confidence in being able to deliver from concept through to finished art in both print and digital applications.
* Attention to detail; motivated; creative; autonomous.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)
In accordance with Child Protection legislation candidates will be required to provide a Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance number for verification by Netball NSW prior to employment. Selection of the successful candidate will be based upon the results of child protection screening and relevant reference checks.
