Nyangatjatjara College, is seeking a senior teacher specialist in the fields of digital learning and ICT. The College located on Anangu Country in the heart of Australia. It lies adjacent to the tourist resort town of Yulara, which is minutes away from Australia's national icon Uluru.
We are seeking an innovative and agile senior teacher who has demonstrated experience and expertise in using modern digital learning tools to engage teachers and students in projects of content creation, co-production and digital citizenship. As well, the role involves strategic planning with the College leadership team to implement a well-informed staged roll-out of digital adoption over 3 years including movement towards fully integrated Learning Management & Data Systems that can allow seamless integration of various modules including – Enrolment & Attendance, Calendar and Organization, Courses & Student Portfolios, Assessment & Reporting, and Social Media & Sharing.
Importantly the role calls for learning how to lead and manage a small team of dedicated teaching staff to become specialist digital educators of Aboriginal students, and to empower our students as digital adopters. Currently the College enrols students at Junior Primary, Primary and Secondary School ages. With your skillsets, your work will comprise working closely with our deputy principals to adapt the Australian Curriculum around evidenced-based culturally responsive teaching and learning pedagogies to engage our teaching staff students in richer, more meaningful and more authentic digital learning activities. You will be working closely with Anangu staff and a highly specialised leadership team who will guide your leadership approach and development. You be involved in co-leading weekly learning workshops including involvement in research activities will be central to your work. A swell, the role requires some technical capacity to maintain, monitor and trouble shoot hardware and software issues. Your professional growth plan will be informed from AITSL standards and Teacher Registration compliance.
