Hunter New England Health is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Coordinator to lead our Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) and Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Crisis Services across rural and regional sites. This pivotal leadership role provides an opportunity to shape the way our health system responds to DFV - ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care.

About the Role

As the DFV and VAN Crisis Service Clinical Coordinator, you will provide advanced clinical, strategic, and educational leadership across integrated crisis services in rural and regional Emergency Departments.

You'll play a key role in:

* Strengthening frontline capability by training and mentoring health staff in identifying and responding to DFV
* Coordinating consistent pathways for DFV screenings, disclosures, and crisis responses
* Providing expert consultation on complex cases
* Supporting the implementation of Safer Pathways across the district in partnership with the Integrated DFV and Crisis Service Program Lead

This role combines leadership, clinical excellence, and community partnership — working to ensure safety, dignity, and recovery for people impacted by violence, abuse and neglect.

Where You'll Be Working

You'll join the District Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Team, a supportive and committed group dedicated to preventing violence and improving outcomes for victim-survivors.

Your base location is flexible, with options across Maitland, Tamworth, Manning, Armidale, or Moree, with travel within the district being part of your role. Join us in creating safer communities and delivering excellence in trauma-informed care.

About you:

* This role requires you to have demonstrated leadership experience and a high degree of professional judgement.
* You will need high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and an ability to problem solve.
* Must hold a degree in Social Work, which provides eligibility or membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

* Demonstrated high level clinical skills, experience and use of substantial professional judgement in providing and leading integrated responses to VAN for adults and children and knowledge of health service delivery and referral options for these clients. Please explain your experience.
* Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding domestic and family violence in priority populations including Aboriginal communities, and CALD communities. Please provide an example of your experience.
