We are seeking a Principal Legal Advisor to join the team. You will play a critical part in supporting the State Revenue Office by managing and independently determining taxpayer objections to decisions and/or assessments for the Commissioner of State Revenue.

About You
* you are a self-starter and thrive working in an environment with competing priorities;
* you will have a legal interpretation background focusing on advice relating to legislation and taxation matters;
* you enjoy researching and investigating the intricacies of legislation;
* you will have high level stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with proven negotiation skills; and
* highly desirable that you have completed or partial completed a relevant tertiary or industry qualifications, and/or professional affiliation.

About the Branch
The Revenue branch manages collection of taxation for the State. The branch administers a number of grants, determines taxation objections and ensures that taxpayers are compliant with State taxation and grant legislation.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
