The Site Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a hyperscale data centre fit‑out project, overseeing all on‑site activities from structure handover through to commissioning and client handover. The role includes coordination of complex MEP systems, critical infrastructure and high‑spec technical spaces to meet stringent quality, safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes for the fit‑out phase, ensuring integration of architectural, services and commissioning works.
- Lead delivery of technical services‑driven environments, aligning design intent, trade coordination and on‑site execution.
- Manage subcontractors across MEP, architectural, structural and commissioning disciplines, driving safety, quality and programme performance.
- Maintain strong communication with client, superintendent, consultants and commissioning teams to provide progress updates and address technical queries.
- Ensure all works comply with design documentation, specifications and commissioning requirements.
- Champion a robust safety culture on‑site through inspections, toolbox talks and risk management.
- Oversee workforce relations and compliance with industrial agreements.
- Implement rigorous quality control procedures to meet contractual, client and company standards.
- Maintain site documentation: RFIs, ITPs, NCRs, daily reports and progress updates.
- Optimise on‑site logistics, including material handling, sequencing and storage.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion of integration and validation up to practical completion.
- Monitor expenditures, identify savings and support commercial teams on variations, procurement and forecasting.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure conformity to building codes, client standards and environmental regulations.
To Be Successful in the Role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction, including large‑scale data centre or mission‑critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning processes and technical coordination.
- Proven ability to deliver projects in live or high‑security environments, maintaining safety and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated success in achieving high‑quality outcomes, tight deadlines and leading multidisciplinary site teams.
- Solid understanding of HSE management, industrial relations and compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
