About This Role
On behalf of our Client, a World Leader in the Oil & Gas Energy sector, Brunel is presently sourcing x 2 Cost & Schedule Controls Engineers responsible for the overall project controls direction through application of systems and methods. This will be a 12 month contract located in Melbourne, Docklands, open to local residential candidates.
Support the Project Team with ongoing project cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, change management, issues & opportunities management, interface management and planning & budgeting
Coordinate the collecting, analysing, and reporting of project cost and schedule control information to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified
Ensure that the stewardship process is established and implemented, leading to monthly cost and schedule stewardship reviews
Engage with Project Team and Functional Teams
Coordinate and support the development of Capital Project Management System
Lead preparation for Reviews and Funding activities
Understand the project funding basis
Interface with finance functions regarding AFEs(Approval for Expenditure) / budgets
Monitor and appraise the performance of the Contractor(s) in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and provide summary to Project Leadership Team
Capture and communicate cost lessons learned for the Project
Support preparation of Close-out Reporting
Respond to ad hoc requests from Project Management Team related to Controls / Reporting
Requirements
Bachelors OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology OR Construction Management
Experience in Project Controls focused on cost control and understand schedule control achievements
Knowledgeable with Company Project Management best practices framework and key work processes
Demonstrated ability to drive creativity, innovation and continuous improvement
Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical and computing skills
Advanced in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI - preferred, Aconex
Adaptability to changing priorities
Confident interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
