Concentrate Logistics Officer Role
The role of Concentrate Logistics Officer is pivotal in our operations team, primarily accountable for assisting the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent with activities related to the Concentrate Logistics supply chain.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Performing sampling of stockpiles, including preparation of samples using metallurgical laboratory equipment.
* Quality control and reporting of routine sampling and other relevant data to ensure accurate data maintenance and timely reporting.
* Metallurgical accounting and reconciliation of concentrate.
* Supporting the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent as necessary, including identifying efficiency improvements throughout the concentrate logistics value chain.
* Inspecting and ensuring the quality of bulk product prior to dispatch.
* Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to load trucks with bulk product.
* Complying with safety procedures and adhering to company policies and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
* Developing daily haulage plans and weekly forecasts to meet shipping schedules.
* Identifying and implementing efficiency improvements throughout the concentrate logistics value chain.
* Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on variables and shortfalls to mitigate risk in meeting shipping schedules.
* Ensuring product grade and moisture content meets client specifications and is available to meet shipping schedules.
* Contributing to incident investigations and reporting in relation to site logistics.
* Coordinating site logistics contractor activities.
This role involves various tasks including inventory management, transportation, storage of product, and sampling. The position operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
