Who We Are:

The Moreton Bay North Training Alliance is a collaborative partnership of local state secondary schools, Registered Training Organisations, and industry partners committed to delivering high-quality vocational education and training pathways for students across the region. The Alliance plays a pivotal role in ensuring equitable access to nationally recognised qualifications, work experience opportunities, and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships that align with regional workforce needs.

As the Alliance continues to expand and mature, this newly established Head of Moreton Bay North Training Alliance position reflects the Department of Education's commitment to strengthening leadership, accountability, and alignment with school improvement priorities. The position will lead strategic and operational coordination of the Alliance, driving excellence in training delivery, compliance, and partnerships across participating schools and industry stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

* Provide educational leadership and management across the Alliance's VET and training programs, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
* Lead and coordinate collaborative partnerships between participating schools, RTOs, and industry, ensuring alignment to regional workforce priorities and the Queensland Government's VET strategy.
* Oversee VET compliance and quality assurance processes, including adherence to ASQA and departmental standards, validation, and continuous improvement.
* Support and develop staff capability through mentoring, professional learning, and the promotion of consistent, high-quality VET delivery and assessment practices.
* Drive data-informed improvement across Alliance programs, monitoring student enrolments, completion rates, and post-school outcomes to inform decision-making and reporting.
* Represent the Alliance in regional and departmental networks, industry forums, and local partnership initiatives to strengthen vocational pathways and community engagement.
* Collaborate with senior leadership teams across member schools to align training programs with school strategic plans and Annual Implementation Plans (AIPs).
* Manage resources effectively, including budgets, facilities, and staffing associated with Alliance programs and training delivery.
* Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling and within Vocational Education and Workplace Health and Safety.
