We're seeking to establish a pool of Youth Workers interested in working across Perth (WA) and surrounding suburbs for opportunities throughout the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that arise during this period.
This pool will support staffing at our current Y School campus (Years 10–12, which has been successfully operating for the past four years), as well as our new Mirrabooka campus (Years 7–9) opening at the. Offers may also be made for positions at our upcoming and potential future campuses in the Perth area.
At The Y School, we aim to uphold the Y's values of Respect, Honesty, Responsibility & Caring through providing high-quality educational experiences for all of our students. As a CARE (Curriculum & Re-Engagement) School, we are focussed on working with students at their point of need, dedicating time, energy, and expertise to formulating strong Individual Education Plans. We develop rapport with students in order to assist them in building towards further education or employment, through options such as WACE pathways, School-Based Traineeships and university bridging courses. Our main focus is to assist students to re-engage with education, supporting them to dismantle the barriers and create a chance to flourish.

Your Impact:
As our Youth Worker you'll play a significant role. You'll get to know your students by building trust and rapport. You'll help them to develop positive lifestyle skills, overcome barriers, build confidence while caring for their overall wellbeing. You'll help them collaborate with their teachers and other stakeholders to create Individual Pathways Plans focused on future opportunities and personal development. You'll be great in this role if you…
* Have a Cert IV (or greater) in Youth Work, Education, Community Work, Social Work or other relevant discipline and equivalent experience
* Have membership with Youth Work WA (desirable but not essential)
* Hold a current C class driver's license.
* Can obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
* Can obtain a food Handling/Safety Certificate (desirable but not essential)
