Job Title
The Head of Year is a senior leadership position responsible for the pastoral care, wellbeing and engagement of a year group. The role requires close collaboration with teachers, parents and college leadership to ensure students feel connected, supported and encouraged as they transition through important developmental years.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a year group, developing and implementing strategies to promote student wellbeing and engagement, and collaborating with teachers to monitor student progress and intervene where additional support is needed.

* Holds current Teachers Registration, Working with Children Check and NCCPC
* Wholeheartedly embraces the culture and the vision of the College
* Skilled in pastoral care and behaviour management, with a relational approach to working with young adolescents
* Foster a sense of belonging, resilience and responsibility with the year group
* Lead year level assemblies, activities and events that celebrate student success and community spirit
* Positive, compassionate nature with highly effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills, and will communicate regularly with parents to strengthen the partnership between school and home
* Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and intervene where additional support is needed
* Possesses excellent leadership and organisational skills, coupled with previous experience in a leadership position is highly desirable
* Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of College students, staff, procedures and practices
