Job Description
Assistant Store Manager Air Voice Supermarkets Pty Ltd operating a long-standing community IGA store known for its fresh produce, everyday staples, and reliable service. The store has built its reputation on quality products and genuine care for local customers. The business is looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager (Retail Supervisor) who is eager to grow and take on a key role within the store.
This position suits someone who enjoys guiding a team, solving problems, and keeping daily operations running without interruption.
Location: Esperance WA 6450. Type: Permanent, Full-time. Annual Remuneration: Between $76,515 and $78,000 plus superannuation.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager in meeting overall performance goals.
* Oversee day-to-day work of team members on the shop floor.
* Maintain a high standard of customer care.
* Plan rosters, allocate duties, and make sure staff understand expectations.
* Participate in recruitment, selection, and training of new employees.
* Provide guidance when staff face challenging customer or operational issues.
* Review returned items and decide on the appropriate resolution.
* Conduct routine stock reviews to keep inventory accurate.
* Confirm that pricing, ticketing, and presentation meet store requirements.
* Support stock availability and maintain clear, well‑organised displays.
* Promote safe work practices and uphold OHS obligations.
Requirements
* AQF Certificate II or above in Retail, Management, Leadership, Business, Commerce, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting or another related area; or one year of relevant full‑time experience as an alternative to formal study.
* Minimum one year of recent experience in a similar role.
* Positive attitude, dependable nature, strong customer focus, and the ability to guide others.
* Must hold unrestricted work rights in Australia.
