Roper Gulf Regional Council is seeking an experienced and values-driven leader to step into the role of Assistant Aged Care and Disability Manager. This pivotal position supports the delivery of high-quality aged care and disability services across our remote communities — a chance to lead with purpose and make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of others.
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll work closely with the Aged Care and Disability Manager to:
* Lead administration & reporting — maintain accurate client records (PRODA, MAC, Medicare, Centrelink), prepare reports, manage financial processes, and organise logistics.
* Supervise and mentor staff — coordinate rosters, support training programs, and guide Community Service Officers and Team Leaders.
* Coordinate service delivery — oversee CHSP, Support at Home, and NDIS programs during relief periods, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.
* Drive organisational sustainability — uphold Council policies, confidentiality, and cross-team collaboration.
* Champion quality and improvement — contribute to audits, compliance, and community engagement.
* Prioritise safety — uphold WHS standards, including infection control, manual handling, and emergency procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Nursing, Health Science, or related field.
* Experience in aged and disability care management.
* Cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully in remote Indigenous communities.
* Strong communication, case management, and IT skills.
* Understanding of WHS and food safety regulations
