Join to apply for the Coordinator, Community Service Order, Community Operations and Practice role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria.

Great opportunity to join Youth Justice on a fixed-term basis in Melbourne, contributing to the design, development and implementation of the Community Service Order (CSO).

Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development and operationalisation of CSO policies and procedures.
- Coordinate project delivery and implementation work for the CSO and other Youth Justice reforms, including workforce planning, recruitment and staff training.
- Establish and manage relationships with community service providers to support the delivery of community work for young people on a CSO.

The Opportunity

- Fixed term, full-time position until 30 June 2027 based in Melbourne.
- CYF Grade 5 role: $118,818 - $136,747 per year plus superannuation.
- Contribute to the design and development of the new CSO – a new order legislated under the Youth Justice Act 2024, and other Youth Justice reforms.
- Lead the development, drafting and operationalisation of CSO policies and procedures.
- Coordinate CSO and other Youth Justice reforms with related project delivery, including workforce planning, recruitment and staff training.
- Establish and manage relationships with community service providers to support the delivery of CSO work.

- Experience in project and policy design and delivery.
- Strong project management skills, strategic coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- A focus on rehabilitative outcomes for young people.
- Working with Children Check (required to be maintained for the period of employment).
