This Position is Open to Remote Employees in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

With the flexibility to work out of your home office full-time, you'll have easy access to and support from your manager, and frequent video meetings to keep you seamlessly integrated into your team. If you travel to one of our Center of Energy - vibrant locations where our teams connect, collaborate, and innovate, you'll be able to work out of our office spaces with your team.

Customer Technical Architects are customer‐centric technical thought leaders and evangelists within the organization. Customer Architects ensure the effectiveness and success of the wider Customer Experience and Sales functions by removing technical barriers to success and enabling our customers, organization‐wide, to use the full suite of LogicMonitor products and features to their best effect.

Key Role Details

* Customer Architects help customers, prospects and internal teams answer the "how" questions around best practice use of the product that takes into account our customer's unique situations and goals. They will be responsible for technical enablement, helping ensure our customers have early knowledge of new features and products, and how they can be applied within a customer's landscape to drive positive business outcomes.
* Customer Architects work closely across Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services and Product teams to provide technical know‐how, common tooling and frameworks that solve common customer problems that fall outside the current goals of the product organization and scope of professional service engagements. They also help translate internal, customer and prospect requests into actionable information with clear business outcomes for the Product and Engineering organizations to be able to prioritize and address.
* An additional goal of this position is to help drive an engaging and results‐driven technical training curriculum, working closely with the training team to formalize this wherever possible; to increase speed to productivity for internal functions and speed to value for LogicMonitor customers.

What You'll Need

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
* 6+ years experience required in a similar technical role
* Significant experience in IT Infrastructure and/or software development, with special emphasis in areas of Compute, Storage, Databases, Networking, Application Services, Big Data and/or distributed computing
* Experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures, containerization, observability, DevOps
* Understanding of systems, information and data flows within enterprise environments
* Experience working with and delivering API based solutions
* Superior oral and written communication skills in English
* Strong technical writing skills
* Excellent troubleshooting instincts and undaunted by unfamiliar tools
* Significant experience in Linux and or Windows/Network administration and operations including the following technologies:
o Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper‐V, Xen Server, etc...)
o Storage (Netapp, EMC, HPLeftHand, Dell Equallogic, etc...)
o Load Balancers (f5 bigIP, Netscaller, Barracuda, etc...)
o WMI, PerfMon, JDBC, SNMP, SMTP, JMX
o Webservers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, etc...)
o Active Directory
o Database (SQL, MySQL, Postgress, etc...)
o Scripting (groovy, powershell, ruby, etc...)
* Willingness to travel to deliver onsite training/evangelism
* Experience of working effectively as part of a distributed team
* Public speaking and presentation skills
