Territory Manager, ENT – Adelaide based

This position has the responsibility for driving and maximizing ENT sales to achieve sales targets for the assigned Southern New South Wales territory within the guidelines of Smith & Nephew's policies and strategies. The person in this role will take ownership of the ENT product line, becoming an expert in its applications, competition, pricing and other relevant information. As a technology leader, you will challenge hospitals to improve quality of care. Primary contacts will be key decision makers such as surgeons, head nurses, directors, procurement officers and clinical leads. Focus will be on achieving clinical buy‐in through initiating and driving clinical evaluations with surgeons and other stakeholders. This is a field‐based sales position with an expected time split of 90% with customers and 10% office time. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and you will be part of a small, dynamic team focusing only on ENT.
What will you be doing?
* Develop strong product knowledge and demonstrate effective selling strategies to meet agreed sales targets within the assigned territory.
* Instruct customers on the techniques and product information required to facilitate effective implementation of products.
* Support local KOL relationships.
* Effectively drive product launches supporting the global marketing plan.
* Complete monthly sales activity reports – content and frequency subject to discussion with manager.
* Ensure timely forecast changes are communicated to management to facilitate effective inventory management and product supply.
What will you need to be successful?
* Tertiary qualifications in a health science discipline and/or a Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Business/Marketing.
* Minimum of 5 years sales experience and a clear demonstration of success selling in the operating room environment.
* Strong business acumen and analytical and reporting skills.
* Travel requirements: 10–25%.
