About The Area
The Directorate of Student Success and Progression sits within the UWA Education Portfolio, overseen by the Deputy Vice‐Chancellor of Education and Student Experience. Student Success and Progression play an integral role in the shared strategic goal of providing a world‐class student experience. The Directorate has responsibility for critical functions across the student lifecycle, including Admissions, Enrolments, Fees, Scholarships, Timetabling, Student Advising, Exams and Graduation. Working across the University, the Directorate partners with academic and professional leaders to deliver integrated, student‐centred services that support academic success, retention, and progression.
The Admissions team within Directorate admits high quality domestic and international students to The University, through the use of effective, student‐focussed processes and a core understanding of the University's strategic vision for the future.
About The Opportunity
* Assess and process domestic and international undergraduate and postgraduate applications from submission through to offer, applying sound judgement and attention to detail.
* Provide expert advice on qualifications, eligibility, GPA calculations and English language requirements, including complex or uncommon international qualifications.
* Contribute to efficient, student‐focused admissions operations by collaborating with colleagues across Admissions, faculties and professional teams.
About You
* Demonstrated experience in an administrative role within a large, complex organisation, with strong organisational skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
* High level of attention to detail and numerical reasoning, with confidence assessing qualifications and verifying supporting documentation.
* Sound knowledge of domestic and international education systems and qualification frameworks, or the ability to quickly build this expertise.
* Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to respond to complex enquiries and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
* Proficiency in common business systems (word processing, spreadsheets, databases and online platforms) and a willingness to learn new systems.
Additional Requirements
* Requirement to work during the Christmas/New Year UWA Shutdown period.
* Occasional weekend and after‐hours work.
* Some overseas and interstate travel may be requested.
