As a Race Department Supervisor, you will be central in the set-up, operation and maintenance of our phenomenal race and event venues for training, competition, and recreational use for our guests. Manage your team to create safe environments for our guests so they can have an extraordinary experience and take a lead in providing spectacular experiences including night events, Australian Interschools competitions, and a variety of recreational, national, and international level alpine and freestyle events.
**In a typical day in this role, you might**:
- Successfully resource and stage a variety of engaging race and freestyle events to increase participation, safely and appropriately challenge competitors and captivate our larger resort audience 
- Engage your department in quality training to consistently maintain and progress the standards of your operations 
- Lead your team to prepare and maintain training and competition venues by installing fences, safety netting, timing equipment, as well as carrying out course maintenance to provide a safe and high-quality venue for our guests 
- Facilitate a consistent approach towards accurate timing and results within your team to strive for a seamless and engaging experience to events participants 
- Lead your team to effectively work with other departments to promote a positive guest experience
**To be considered for this role, you should have**:
- Experience within Snowsports alpine and freestyle events, with relevant outdoor operations experience and the ability to facilitate successful timing and results events operations 
- Race and Events specific skills such as timing and calculations, course setting or judging (desirable) 
- A background in Snowsports Coaching (Alpine, Freestyle, etc.) or competition experience (desirable) 
- Demonstrated experience with administration and leadership responsibilities 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high attention to detail and strong regard for workplace health and safety
